Landscape rakes are used for leveling sand. Landscape rakes feature teeth in a straight row instead of the fan-shape found on the leaf rake. Often used for settling gravel or pea-sized landscape rock from larger piles, use it to level crushed granite or landscape sand over large areas. Make line designs with the landscape rake by starting at one end of the garden and working down, raking over the footprints left when the lines are worked down. The landscape rake is generally metal with a long row of teeth at the end for durability and maximum coverage.
