Sledge hammers are usually double sides and vary in weight and size. Sledgehammer is a tool consisting of a large, flat head attached to a lever (or handle). The head is typically made of metal. The sledgehammer can apply more impulse than other hammers, due to its large size. Along with the mallet, it shares the ability to distribute force over a wide area. This is in contrast to other types of hammer, which concentrate force in a relatively small area.
Dead Blow hammers all have a Shot filled canister inside the head that contains loose material for sustained impact, The purpose of the loose material is to absorb the rebound of a strike; the shot shifts forward a fraction of a second after the impact to absorb the recoil. Steel Canister and rod are welded, textured non-slip comfort contoured handle, Safety flanged butt.
